After a tough ride out and finding not super conditions we only had a few bites.  The guys caught enough for a couple dinners.  Blackfins and Dolphins. Thanks Joel and crew!

Pretty day but scrappy fishing. Mr. Sterling caught a 40 lb citation Wahoo.  I'm not telling his age but IF I make it that long, I can only hope to be half as spry!  A couple bailers to go with it.  Good crew, it was a pleasure to have you all on board. Thanks!

Today I went South looking for Wahoos.  We only had a couple wahoo bites but caught 3 Sailfish while looking for them. Thanks Richard and crew!

The cool, green water had the Wahoo grounds covered up this morning so I headed to the deep to look for Dolphins. Soon as we turned on the change a Blue Marlin snatched on the teaser and Zach picked him off.  Birthday girl Shannon did an excellent job angling him to the leader.  Soon after Michele caught a Sailfish, then Shannon caught one and Michele caught another one right away. We had a few gaffer dolphin bites but overall the meat fishing was scrappy.  Guest mate Zach did a great job in the cockpit. Good day with a great crew!! Thanks guys and gals!

John, David, and Jackie caught their limit of bailer Dolphins right out of the gate. We Wahoo fished the rest of the day and caught a few and lost a few. David earned a citation with a 50 lber.  Pretty day with a great crew, Thanks again John!

My friends the Fentress Bros. came down to gig some flounders and try and catch some Wahoos. They whacked the flounders last night and I could only put them on a few wahoos today.  Everywhere I went they bit somewhere else. Can't be in two places at once.  It was a beautiful day, Thanks Will, Brian, and crew!

Limit of Dolphins - 08-27-19

We set out on the color change in search of Wahoos and found Dolphins. The guys put out the bailing tackle and stuck with it till they had their limit.  Down current made the ocean much better than anticipated.  Good day, Thanks Travis and crew!

Fishing was scrappy today but we got very lucky and found a float that was holding some Dolphins and a Wahoo. Our crew mastered the bailing tackle quickly and caught all they wanted to keep. We caught a couple other wahoos and missed a couple. Pretty day out there,Thanks Bryan, Amy, Joe and Jacob!

It was a long day until we found some bailers in the bottom of the ninth. The guys and gals did great with the bailing tackle and ended up with a catch. Thanks Mr.Delbert and crew!

Kinda scrappy and choppy today. Kendell earned a citation with a 41lb Wahoo. Had a few other wahoo bites that we pulled off and caught a couple Dolphins and a K.M. Thanks Alex and crew!

Mike and Barb caught their limit of Dolphins and opted to come in a little early to beat the heat. Beautiful slick calm ocean but hot.

Slow fishing on a pretty day. John, Jay, and Fin caught enough for dinner and that was about it. Thanks guys!

After a late start and fishing behind everyone we were able to put together a little catch of Dolphins. John caught a Sailfish and Turd caught a Wahoo in the bottom of the ninth. Thanks guys.

Scott and April on board today. It took me a while to find a condition that was holding the Dolphins and they caught their limit pretty quickly. Soon after Scott caught a Sailfish that was not reviveable so we brought him home too. A little choppy in the NE wind but not terrible.0-1 BM,1-3 SF. Thanks guys!

Not as easy as yesterday but the guys caught a few before we were run in a little early by squalls. Thanks Bud and crew!

First off, our sincere condolences on the passing of Capt. Omie. What a wonderful,wise,and Godly man! The Dolphin fishing was outstanding today.  Charlie, Donna, Charlie,and Kaden caught their limit in a couple stops. Our young angler Kaden did a great job! Nicer weather than expected, cooler with the overcast conditions. Great work guys, it was a fun day. Thank You!

Kristen wanted a little meat. John wanted a birthday marlin. Not any Marlins around today so Kristen won. Pretty day but HOT! Thanks neighbors!

The condition that was holding the Dolphins yesterday was blown apart by wind and current overnight. Our friend Lundy caught a few in what was left of it this morning then it was a long afternoon. Pretty day, Thanks Man!

The fishing improved for Mr. Jack and crew.  Our young angler Carlos did good, he could hook em! Enjoying the pretty weather hope it holds. Thanks men!

Our make-up group caught gaffer and bailer Dolphin, and a few Blackfins today. It was a little bumpy on the ride out but pretty in the current. Thanks crew and Hatteras Harbor Marina!

Way scrappy today. We could only manage a few bailers in the grass from hell. Hopefully the dam in the Dolphin river will open back up tomorrow. At least it was a pretty day for Duane and crew. Thanks guys!

The guys wanted to Blue Marlin fish today. They caught a few Dolphins while we were looking but no Marlin love for us. Some heavy rain but mostly a pretty day. Thanks Ken and crew!

Mike and the Md. crew caught a nice mess of Dolphins and some Blackfins. Pretty ocean with just a little rain drizzle.  Fun group of guys who we enjoyed fishing with. Thanks men!

We bailed a few Dolphins first thing and Stacey caught a nice bull head.  Went looking for something else and had a couple White Marlin encounters that we didn't get hooks in.  Got pretty after the morning squalls.  Thanks Tom!  (Don't trust Whitey)

We were a little late to the Dolphin party but got there in time to catch a few before the wind started blowing.  Good to see some bailers showing up.  Scott released a Sailfish while we were looking around for a school.  Got kinda sporty this afternoon. Thanks Scott and Leslie!

Kinda scrappy in the meat dept. We caught a few Gaffers then I went deep to look for more. Tom released a Sailfish then we jumped another off. Caught one more Dolphin out there then Greg caught a Blue Marlin fishing back in. Got pretty this afternoon. Thanks N.C. State fishing school and Connie.

Here we have two very patient young men who would like to have a word with the weatherman. Got choppy with the wind against the current. They did get to help clear lines when we hooked a Blue Marlin but she won the battle. Thanks Kevin and crew!

Ally wanted a Blue one today.  No love from them but we picked a few Gaffers while looking.  A little choppy but not terrible. Thanks Mike!

The pick continues. A few nice gaffers and Floyd caught a 52lb Wahoo. Pretty day but we are tired of cranking grass. Scattered water. Thanks Steve and crew!

A few bites in a choppy S/Easter today. Rodney earned a N.C. citation with a 43 lb. bull gaffer. Thanks Steve and crew.

Overall I would call it scrappy today. We got lucky and were hit by the big Yellowfins ,caught what we hooked out of that.  Picked at a few Dolphins afterward. Got pretty this afternoon, ready to try again tomorrow. Thanks Otto and crew!

First trip of the year . Not the best conditions but we scrapped up a few nice Blackfins and a Yellowfin. At least it was a pretty day. Thanks Chris and crew!
